As the PM of Japan in 2006, Shinzo Abe had denied that comfort women
was not a crime...and he visited Yasukuni Shrine to honour war
criminals.

Is he any better now ?

He is still a backward looking leader...with deluded view of
history... an unfortunate choice of a leader for Japan Today.
However. like most Japanese, he suffered from an inferiority complex
when dealing with Americans... His instinct is that Asians are
inferior to the Westerners... a colonial slave mentality...a very weak
Asian leader ...very unfortunate.

In comparison, the new female President of South Korea is a much
better Asian leader.

Relationship with China, under this new PM of Japan...is unlikely to
improve.

Improve or not, Japan today doesn't have the military might of the
past. He can only talk with hollow words.

It is not his hollow words that the Japanese people found
objectionable....which will lead to his being thrown out of
office. It is his actions...against the interest of Japan.

Japanese want cordial relationship with China so that
Japan can prosper with growing trade with China.

The Diaoyutai Islands was not a contentious issue
between Japan and China for the past 40 years ...since
Deng Xiao Ping and the PM of Japan agreed to freeze
the claims by both sides..."until it could be resolved
by wiser leaders from Japan and China."

Why the Diaoyutai island has become such a hot
issue which could lead to war between Japan and
China ? What has changed ?

The USA !

Since Obama declared the US Pacific Century in
the Pacific, and moved its naval power to the
Pacific, Japan has suddenly decided to revive the
claim on the Dioayutai... in line with US agenda
to contain the rise.of China.
As a result, the economy of Japan suffer another
recession...leading to hardship to the Japanese
people and hundreds of Japanese corporations.
Reviving the claims on Diaoyutai and making China
angry are moves... is definitely not in the interest of
the Japanese people...or Japan.
It serve only the interests of the USA.
The Japanese is angry with the USA and angry
with the ex PM of Japan. They fired their PM and
Abe will suffer the same fate...if he choose to
continue with pouring oil into the Diaoyutai issue.

Against his best interest, S Abe will be forced to
toe the line drawn by the US policy in the Pacific...
to pick fights with China...to continue confrontation
with China on behalf of the USA....on Diaoyutai and other
new issues.

This is the plight of being the PM of a puppet state
of the USA.

He is a unremarkable leader. He does not hold high regard to many
countries on that job. I dont think he can
survive his job for long. He will fail again in one year.

The LDP had chosen the wrong person to be their party leader. The
party probably had no one left in the party to choose from. He is a
'mumbling" leader...he is like talking a "puppet" mumbling to
himself.

The last time when he was the PM he was downed with stress and was
hospitalised for one to two weeks. He then resigned and rested at
home after that. He probably used this "stress" reason to step down
to conceal his inability and incompetence. He then got
someone from his party to take over his job.

He is backward leader still cluded and mermerized by his old views of
history of Japan. He is like other Japanese leaders refused to be
forwarding to repent and change their attitudes of their past history.
If he is not careful, he may be the one that
will instigate and result in the war with China that will make China
will economically finish him uining their
Japanese companies in China.

Like the PAP, LDP has an almost strangle hold on
power in Japan. Their system of choosing leadership
of the party is flawed...and unfortunately the leader
of the party become the PM of Japan...if LDP win.

The USA has cleverly cultivated leaders in LDP
to be subservient to the USA...the puppet master
of Japan.
This is how, the USA ensure that US troop is not
kicked out of Japan....after almost 60 years...despite
extremely strong anti-USA sentiment in Okinawa in
particular...and in everywhere in Japan in general.

This is the reason, why for the last 7 years, NO PM of
Japan can last more than a year....the Japanese
people simply reject them....one after another.

.> The last time when he was the PM he was downed

As elected official, the PM is supposed to act in the
interests of the people of Japan...but in reality, his
hands are tied...he had to act according to the wishes
of the USA (often against the peoples interests)
This in itself ...is not only stressful on a personal level...
it is against the spirit of democracy !!
If Abe had the balls, he would have told the USA to go
and suck eggs...instead of resigning.

I ask, becos I'm curious.

Just answer the damn question, not the questioner! Don't
presume. My personal matters/beliefs are none of your
business. I ask, you answer. If you think I am stupid,
you have already proven that you are stupid, not me. If
you don't know the answer, can you please "pass" to other
people to answer? thanks.
