The US air force is in serious decline. The US air force committed
blunders after blunders... in battle fields, where they killed their
own friends by mistakes...to losing control totally over their arsenal
of nuclear weapons.
The US air force personnel cannot differentiate between helicopter
batteries and nuclear fuses. In 2006, they shipped nuclear fuses to
Taiwan, to fill an order of helicopter batteries. No one in the US
air force knew about it until Taiwan found the nuclear fuses two years
later and made a fuss. No one know how many other cases where nuclear
parts were lost and were not reported.
Apparently, there were no accountability over nuclear bombs and
parts. Gates, the US defence
Secretary, called it 'systemic weaknesses,' a failure of oversight and
'lack of a critical self-assessment' at the Air Force.
In August last year, 6 nuclear bombs in North Dakota Air base went
missing. The six nuke babies were later found in Louisiana Air base,
thousand of miles away. Apparently, the nuclear bombs were left on a
B-52 bombers like discarded waste materials. When the pilots
transfered the B-52 to Louisiana, the nuclear bombs went along for a
joy ride.
Gates calls this a 'pattern of poor performance' and he fired two top
air force top guns.
The rot is in the whole Air Force organisation...firing two top guns
will NOT improve things.
