Proselytising in public institutions such as schools and hospitals has been
in the news. Is it acceptable for doctors to try and save not just the body
but also the soul?Should teachers be allowed not just to teach but also
preach

As long as the body is cared for , that's what they are paid for.

So, what should they do if they meet someone who doesn't agree with
them?

Extend the best medical care with their God given brains, and pray by
themselves for the patient's recovery.

The belief part can come after. After the patient has recovered, they
are free to invite to church if they want to, but no obligations and
always tactfully.

Proselytising in public institutions such as schools and hospitals has been
in the news. Is it acceptable for doctors to try and save not just the body
but also the soul?Should teachers be allowed not just to teach but also
preach
They are no better than osama.
They have to make up their minds.
If they want to proselytise....then BE A PRIEST
and stop working in our public sector pretending
to be doctors or nurses.

The law must step in to prevent idiots who
try to take advantage of their patients weak
position to refuse them.
Cowardly bastards.

Kah...kah...kah.
Now arsedeedee reveals himself to
be a true fanatic.

Patients have the right to be left
free of any proselytising. They are
PAYING customers.

But it seems that you would disregard
the law as long as your religion is being
supported. ..and spread?

Seems like our government was right
to get rid of fanatics from the civil service.
Kudos...
LOL.

When a doctor who is treating you finds you in anguish and knows that your
anguish is contributing to your ill health should he not try to alleviate
your symptoms by healing the cause?

This "problem" of proselytising has been going on for a long time. It is
just that no one want to offend these "nice" people and friends who are out
to save the souls of non-believers. Invariably, the chiefs in charge are
also of the same faiths. So, how to complain unless you risk your job or
promotion. Yes, ethically, people in privileged positions must not abuse
this position. But then, good Christains MUST spread the word; otherwise
they would risk going to hell for saving all sinners.

Christains always try to portray that they are persecuted. Now, I understand
why. Because they asked and begged to be done in. By insisting that only
their belief is valid; the rest are demonic. All living beings share this
world. Where we go after death, nobody knows. That is why there are so many
religions trying to guide us along. In Singapore, mutual respect in terms of
religious beliefs is of utmost importance. Nobody should try to impose their
beliefs onto others. Otherwise, it may backfire.

They are not imposing their beliefs in you they are trying to give you
better physical and mental health and ensure that your children have the
right values for Singapore.
There are those parents who want such teachings but those who do not wish to
then so let it be.
